About Us

At True Food & Yoga our instructors guide you through low- and high-tempo workouts. Styles of yoga are paired with different genres of music to tick off cardio, strength, flexibility, and meditation for a good reboot.

Jane has been travelling the world for the past eight years, in the pursuit of self-expansion, learning and understanding. She has been a student of yoga for eight years and has had the privilege to study with many great teachers and different schools of thought.

Jane's drive is to become the best version of herself and live a life of adventure, loving and learning, and help inspire, uplift and encourage others to break free and do the same. Using movement and self-exploration as medicine, her passion is to get people out of their heads and reconnect you back into your bodies and hearts. She has now returned to Christchurch to share with you what she has learnt from these top schools and teachers she has studied with from around the globe.

True Food & Yoga’s British recruit, Sandy, trained as a dancer from the age of 5, achieving a BA Theatre Dance at the London Studio Centre. After graduating, she started taking part in yoga to help her recover from an injury, and it quickly became a love. She has completed her 200-Hour Teacher Training Course with The Yoga People (Certified by the Yoga Alliance) and is also a massage therapist –specialising in deep tissue massage for athletes and dancers to aid injury prevention and recovery. She has taught yoga at schools, feeling that it is important for both young and old to explore and benefit from what yoga has to offer.

Hailing from the West Coast of Ireland, Pauline moved to Christchurch more than three years ago and it was here she discovered Baptiste Power Yoga, seeking it out for the benefits of mental clarity and stress relief. Power yoga gave it all, the mental clarity, the physical challenge and overall growth she was craving.

She is currently working with other prominent and experienced yoga instructors in Christchurch to keep her skills sharp and to continue learning.

 

Do I have to have any yoga or Pilates experience?

No, True Food & Yoga was made for everyone – it’s about working with the instructor at your own level and pace.

What do I bring to my first session?

Just a water bottle and a mat if you have one. We do have mats, blocks and straps available.

What else can I do at True Food & Yoga?

We have different types of strength, speed and endurance, and have some fun with our dance fit classes.

What kind of yoga will we do?

Baptiste Power, Budakon, Vinyasa, Primal, Rocket Power.

How much is a membership at True Food & Yoga?

Our unlimited class pass starts from just 35.

Can I bring my children?

We encourage children over 8 to attend classes as it’s important families exercise together. Children will learn confidence and expression as well. They can be added to your membership for only 10 bucks more.

Can I bring my partner?

Families that train together, stay together. Your partner can add onto your membership for just 20 bucks.

Can I bring a friend?

Bring a buddy to any session. Their first class is on us!
